The communities of Parkesburg and Sadsburyville are reeling following the tragic death of John Lymberis, who was reportedly found shot and killed inside his vehicle Thursday morning after leaving court proceedings connected to recently filed child pornography charges.
According to reports, emergency responders and law enforcement agencies were called to the area shortly after the incident unfolded. Authorities say Lymberis was discovered suffering from a fatal gunshot wound inside his vehicle after departing the courthouse earlier that morning.
Officials have not yet released full details surrounding the circumstances of the shooting, and the investigation remains ongoing.
Lymberis, 57, had recently been charged by the Chester County District Attorney’s Office with multiple offenses related to the alleged possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
Investigators previously stated that Chester County Detectives received a CyberTip through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the Delaware County ICAC Task Force, leading authorities to identify Lymberis through digital evidence linked to online accounts allegedly used to share explicit material involving minors.
Court documents alleged he participated in online chat groups where illicit images were exchanged, including AI-generated sexualized depictions of children. He had been released on bail pending further court proceedings.
Authorities continue emphasizing that criminal charges are accusations and that defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.

News of Lymberis’ death has stunned many throughout Chester County, where he was widely known through Harry’s Hotdogs.

Authorities have not indicated whether foul play is suspected or whether additional individuals are being sought in connection with the shooting.
