Multiple law enforcement agencies responded to Jones Bridge Park early Tuesday afternoon after a person was found dead in what authorities believe was an apparent suicide.

According to the Gwinnett County Police Department, officers were called to the park on East Jones Bridge Road in Peachtree Corners shortly before 1 p.m. following reports of a deceased individual inside the park area.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene and confirmed the person had died.

Officials stated the death is currently being investigated as an apparent suicide, though authorities have not yet publicly released the identity of the individual pending notification of family members.

The incident has deeply affected members of both the Peachtree Corners and Johns Creek communities, where some residents described the individual as “a good kid” who was known around the area.
